The following persons who have entered into the Forestation Agreement with Anne Arundel County, Maryland, and have applied for the following are required to post a surety bond:
- Subdivision or a site development plan
- Building permit
- Grading permit
- Standard grading plan
The surety bond’s purpose is to ensure that the Principal (owner of real property) will perform his or her contractual obligations and comply with the terms of the Forestation Agreement as well as the relevant provisions of the Anne Arundel County Code of Ordinances.
This includes the following:
- Completion of the afforestation, replanting, or reforestation on the property
- The installation and maintenance of all plants on the property will be handled by the Principal
