GARDENA JAIL

Gardena Jail is managed by the Gardena Police Department. From 15 police officers in 1947, the Gardena Police Department now has 99 sworn police officers. The current police building at 1718 W 162 Street was built on August 29, 1963.

Any person who is arrested within District 1, District 2, and District 3 of the City of Gardena will be brought to Gardena Jail.

Gardena Jail is a small yet fully functioning jail that detains defendants who are being booked, awaiting arraignment, convicted felons who are waiting to be transferred to a prison, or defendants who weren’t offered to make bail.

If your loved one is allowed to post bail, give us a call immediately. We can get him or her released from Gardena Jail right after the booking process.

Why do you need to post bail?

Bail is not a punishment for the alleged crime committed by the defendant. It is, in a way, a security deposit for the conditional release of the defendant.

Bail is simply a release and returns agreement that the defendant will have with the court. If the defendant is released on bail, the defendant will also have to return for his or her future trials.

Since verbal or written promises are not enough to guarantee the aforementioned obligation for some defendants, monetary assurance is required in the form of a bail bond.

What are the things that a bail bondsman requires?

Once you call us, we’ll ask you to provide us with several details such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • The full name of the arrestee
  • If the defendant is a U.S. Citizen
  • The bail amount
  • Booking number
  • The alleged charges against the arrestee

Before a bail bond is posted, the bond premium will have to be paid (10% of the bond amount), documents signed, and collateral pledged (only if it’s necessary).

We don’t often require collateral in most cases. With our DigitalBond, you can do everything from the comfort of your own home or wherever you may be as long as you’re connected to the internet. We’ll send you all the documents that need to be signed via email. This can be done in a matter of minutes.
