Bail Bond

A bail is a pledge provided by the defendant to the judge in order to be released from 77th Street Regional jail.

By posting bail, the defendant is promising that he or she will return to all future court proceedings or trials.

If the defendant fails to appear in court when summoned, the bail will be forfeited and a warrant will be issued for the defendant’s arrest.

A bail bond is a type of bail most often used because it’s easy, fast, and inexpensive.

How does a bail bond work?

Once the defendant, or the defendant’s family or friends has contacted a bail bondsman, the bail bondsman will make the necessary arrangements.

The bail bondsman will ask the defendant and his or her co-guarantors to sign the required documents and provide collateral security if needed.

The bail bondsman will then go to 77th Street Regional Jail to post bail.

How much will a bail bond cost?

The cost will depend on the bail amount set by the judge.

The bail bond premium is the amount that the defendant and his or her co-signers will need to pay the bail bond company for their services.

The bond premium will usually be 10% of the bail amount, or lower in certain circumstances.

We also offer no-collateral bonds. Please contact us for further details.
