Walnut/Diamond Bar Jail

Prior to the opening of Walnut/Diamond Bar Station and Walnut/Diamond Bar Jail in 1987, San Dimas Station provided the policing services within the Walnut/Diamond Bar area.

The 5.3-acre land (Valley Boulevard and Grand Avenue) where the station was built was acquired through a negotiation between Shea Homes and the county and Walnut officials.

Construction began in 1985 for the one-story, $8 million sheriff’s station building. Apart from the jail, the building has a basement and a separate service building as well. The station was previously named Walnut/San Dimas Station. But when San Dimas Station was turned into a full station, the name was changed to Walnut/Diamond Bar Station.

The original employee count when the Walnut/Diamond Bar Station opened was 265; thirty percent of which came from the Industry Station. Walnut/Diamond Bar Station is responsible for the City of Walnut, City of Diamond Bar, and the unincorporated areas of Rowland Heights and Covina.

Several programs are being enforced by the station to keep the aforementioned areas safe.

These includes the following:

  • Bike Patrol
  • Neighborhood Watch
  • Substance Abuse Narcotics Education
  • Volunteers on Patrol

You may search any inmate at Walnut/Diamond Bar Jail by typing the inmate’s full name and date of birth at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Inmate Information Center.

Why is a bond considered as the best option when bailing someone out?

This is because bail bonds are easy, fast, and affordable. They are also convenient to obtain. The defendant or the defendant’s loved one does not need to pay for the entire bail amount. The bail bondsman will do it for them.

In return for the said service, the defendant and his co-guarantors (family members or friends who will be responsible for the defendant) will need to pay the bond premium.

Bond premium is usually 10% of the bail amount.

For example, if the bail amount set by the court for a specific offense is $30,000, the defendant will have to pay $3,000 to the bail bondsman.

In special cases, we can provide a lower bond premium – 8% of the bond amount.
