Sierra Madre Jail

Signal Hill Jail is a small, short-term correctional facility located along Walnut Avenue. It’s composed of two cell blocks and one sobering-up cell. The two cell blocks can house a maximum of 13 detainees.

The detainees are monitored by the jailers 24 hours a day via the security cameras that are installed inside the two cell blocks and in each cell.

This provides an enhanced level of safety and security for the detainees as well as the jail staff. The recorded videos are kept for one year as mandated by state policies.

Adult males who have been arrested on open charges and/or warrants within Signal Hill will be detained in this jail. Women arrestees, on the other hand, will be transported to Long Beach Women’s Jail or to the Los Angeles County Inmate Retention Center. They may also be released on their own recognizance.

As a PREA-compliant facility, Signal Hill Jail maintains a zero tolerance against all forms of sexual abuse and sexual harassment. Detainees who have suffered any sexual misconduct are encouraged to report the incident to any jail staff.

Alternatively, the victim may inform any person who’s not associated with Signal Hill Jail Police Department of the abuse.

The booking process at Signal Hill Jail includes taking the arrestee’s fingerprints. This is done using the jail’s tenprinter fingerprinting machine.

The fingerprint of the arrestee will be electronically captured and sent to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department and the California Department of Justice for cross-checking.

What makes a bond the best option when bailing someone out?

Bail bonds are simple to obtain, quick to process, and convenient to use. The defendant, or a loved one of the defendant, is not required to post the entire bail sum. The bail bondsman will take care of it.

The defendant and any co-guarantors (if any) will be required to pay the bond premium in exchange for the abovementioned service.

The bond premium is typically 10% of the bail amount. For example, if the court sets bail at $30,000 for a certain offense, the defendant must pay $3,000 to the bail bondsman.

In some circumstances, we can offer a cheaper bond premium. We are able to reduce the bond premium to 8%. If you’d like to find out if you qualify for a cheaper bond premium, CONTACT US.
