Palos Verdes Estates Jail is located in a city that has one of the most expensive housing areas in the United States.

Palos Verdes Estates Jail is a Type 1 jail that is operated by the Palos Verdes Police Department.

As a Type 1 facility, Palos Verdes Estates Jail can hold arrestees for up to 96 hours as stated in the regulations of the California Board of State and Community Corrections.

An arrestee can only be bailed out of jail after he or she has been booked. Booking is a series of procedures aimed at confirming the true identity of the arrested person. It’s a standard operating procedure in all police departments within the state.

What will happen if bail is not posted immediately?
