Montebello Jail

Montebello Jail is one of the dozens of correctional facilities all across the United States that’s being managed by Florida-based company, The GEO Group, Inc.

Montebello Jail strictly adheres to the requirement set forth by the Board of Corrections. Montebello Jail complies with the policies and procedures of the Prison Rape and Elimination Act (PREA) as well. The purpose of PREA is to combat sexual abuse and misconduct inside jails and other correctional facilities.

The GEO Group, Inc. employs a GEO Group Jail commander to oversee the duties of trained custody personnel. The entire city jail located along W. Beverly Boulevard is under the direction of a Lieutenant.

There are 7 cells with a total of 18 beds inside this male-only correctional facility. On the average, there are approximately 160 arrestees being held here every month.

Arrestees are allowed to stay inside Montebello Jail until their arraignment – or less than 72 hours. After their arraignment, they will be transported to a larger county jail such as Men’s Central Jail.

However, long-term stays are allowed for certain sentenced inmates under the jail’s Self-Pay Inmate Program. The inmates are given a choice between serving their time consecutively or on weekends only.

Aside from paying the fee, the Self-Pay Inmate Program detainees must meet a number of criteria before they can serve their time here instead of a county jail.

Do you offer bail bond payment options?

Definitely!

We understand the financial constraints of getting a bail bond that’s why we offer various convenient payment options.

You can pay the bail bond premium (usually 10% of the bond amount) by choosing one of our available payment options, or a combination of them. Some of the ways you can pay are via credit card, personal checks, and cash.

Can the bail bond process be completed online?

Yes! This is done through our DigitalBond – a secured digital transaction management service.

It’s fast and convenient. There’s no need to come to our office. We can simply send the bail bond form via email.

You may immediately send us back the form once you’ve completed it along with other requirements such as a valid primary ID.

We’ll check the completed form and notify you if you’ve missed anything or if you need to send other identification.

After that, you’ll be asked to post a collateral (if needed), pay the bond premium, and then digitally sign the contract.

If the defendant has co-guarantors, they will be asked to sign the contract as well.

Once signed, the bail will be posted and your loved one will be released from Montebello Jail.

It’s that easy!
