MALIBU/LOST HILLS JAIL

Malibu/Lost Hills Jail is operated by the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department’s substation, Malibu/Lost Hills Station.

It is a small jail located within the police station that services celebrity-packed neighborhoods like Malibu, West Lake Village, Agoura Hills, Hidden Hills, Calabasas, Chatsworth Lake Manor, and Topanga to name a few.

Those who have been arrested in the aforementioned areas will be taken to Malibu/Lost Hills Jail and subjected to the booking process.

There is a roster of A-list stars who were brought to this jail which includes Mel Gibson, Nick Nolte, and Gary Busey.

Malibu/Lost Hills Station has been awarded by Altus Global Alliance & Vera Institute of Justice as the best patrol station for policing services in North America.

Malibu/Lost Hills Station is also known for developing a program that educates drivers and their parents about reckless driving.

The program called STTOP – which stands for Sheriff’s Teen Traffic Offender Program – addresses bad driving practices of teen drivers and its outcome.

Often times, patrol officers do not witness bad driving habits committed by teenagers. They rely heavily on the reports of those who have first-hand experiences instead.

Because of this, residents are encouraged to call 877-310-STOP immediately if they see a teenager driving recklessly.
