EAST LOS ANGELES STATION JAIL

East Los Angeles Station Jail is located along Third Street in East L.A. Latinos predominantly occupy this unincorporated area, making it the most influential Latino neighborhood in the region.

Important Mexican-American political events happened in East L.A. such as the Chicano Moratorium March – the biggest anti-Vietnam War protest that happened in August 29, 1970.

East Los Angeles Station Jail is a short-term confinement facility managed by the East Los Angeles Station. It’s where persons who are arrested within East L.A. are booked and detained.

Given its size, the booking process here would only take a few hours to complete (usually 2 hours).

After the defendant has been booked, he or she will immediately be taken to Men’s Central Jail, Twin Towers Correctional Facility, or other larger county jail.

If the defendant, however, was able to post bail, the defendant will immediately be released after the booking process.

What can a bail bond company do for the defendant?

If the defendant would like to be released from jail immediately, but cannot put up the entire bail amount, the bail bond company will do it for him.

In our case, we’ll send one of our experienced bail bondsmen to East Los Angeles Station Jail to post bail. Our bail bondsmen are ready to take your call and help you 24/7.

A bail bondsman, professional bail agent, or bail bonding agent is licensed by the California Department of Insurance to post a bond. Along with the defendant, the bail bondsman is bound unto the Obligee (beneficiary of the bond) in the fulfillment of the bond’s conditions.

If the defendant fails to appear in court when summoned, the bail will be forfeited and a judgment will be rendered on the defendant by the court.

What are the payment options?

You can pay the bond premium (usually 10% of the bail amount) through any of these methods, or a combination of them:

  • Visa
  • MasterCard
  • American Express
  • Cash
  • Money Orders
  • Wire Transfer of Funds
  • Personal Checks (restrictions apply)
  • Deposit cash at any Bank of America branch

For example, if the bail amount is set at $15,000, your bond premium or the amount that you have to pay the bail bond company will be $1,500.
