Crescenta Valley Jail

Crescenta Valley Jail is located right in the heart of the community known as “The Balcony of Southern California”: the unincorporated areas of La Crescenta.

Crescenta Valley Jail is famous for its Haunted Jail Halloween event. It’s a yearly scarefest that transforms Crescenta Jail into a haunted one. Costumed characters hide inside the emptied jail cells that are decorated by the Crescenta Valley High School Students.

Crescenta Valley Jail is managed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and provides police services to the following areas:

  • City of La Canada Flintridge
  • unincorporated areas of La Crescenta
  • Montrose
  • Lake View Terrace
  • Angeles National Forest

Any person who has been arrested within the aforementioned areas will be taken to Crescenta Valley Jail. The arrestees will undergo a booking procedure before they can post bail.

Since Crescenta Valley Jail only serves as a temporary holding facility, defendants who are not able to post bail will be transferred to either Lynwood Jail, Twin Towers Correctional Facility, or other larger county jails.

How can I get a bail bond?

  • Give us a call at 800-333-7800

Once the defendant, or the defendant’s relatives or friends, contacts us, we’ll immediately make the required bail bond arrangements.

  • Sign the paperwork

The defendant and co-guarantors will be asked to sign the proper forms, provide collateral security if necessary, and pay the bond premium (usually 10 percent of the bond amount).

This is simple to do with DigitalBond, our secure online bonding service. You can get a bond from us from anywhere as long as you have access to the internet.

We’ll send you the relevant bail bond documents to sign through email. We’ll quickly execute the bond once we receive the signed documents.

  • Posting of bail

After that, one of our bail bondsmen will proceed to Crescenta Valley Jail to post a bail bond to secure the defendant’s conditional release.

How long before a defendant is released from jail?

Once a defendant has been booked, he or she will be released. The procedure of obtaining and recording the defendant’s identity is known as booking. Smaller jails, such as Crescenta Valley Jail, normally take an hour or two.
