How does a California Guide License Bond work?
This bond is a legal assurance provided by 2 parties to another party. The 2 parties is the Principal (guide/license applicant) and the Surety or the surety bond company who will issue the bond. The Obligee (State of California) is the party to whom both will be indebted to. In this case, the Obligee can be any person who the licensed guide has provided service to. As long as the Principal performs the all his contractual obligations, no action will be taken against the bond. If Principal commits a misconduct, the Obligee will be eligible to file a bond claim.
