How does a Dixon California Encroachment Permit Bond work?

This bond is a legal contract between three parties known as the principal (permit applicant), surety (surety bond provider), and obligee (City of Dixon).

This bond will financially guarantee the principal’s fulfillment of all predetermined set of obligations to the obligee.

If the principal defaults on his or her bonded obligations, the Director of Public Works of the City of Dixon or his authorized representative will notify the principal and will give the principal a certain number of days to complete it.

If the principal fails to complete the job and perform the necessary adjustments within the given period, the obligee will be eligible to file a claim against the bond.

How much does a Dixon California Encroachment Permit Bond cost?

The bond cost can be as low as 1% of the bond amount. The bond amount will be determined by the Director of Public Works of the City of Dixon.

For example, if the bond amount is $30,000, your bond cost or the amount that you need to pay the surety will be $300.

The bond cost will depend on the principal’s credit score. The better the credit score, the lower the bond cost will be.
