What is a bail bond for?

When a person is arrested, the court will require that they post bail before being released from jail.

The goal of bail is to ensure that the defendant will appear in court when summoned.

If the defendant fails to attend his or her court proceedings, the bail will be forfeited and a warrant will be issued for the defendant’s arrest.

How long will the arrestee be released from jail?

This will depend on the booking process of the jail where the arrestee is being held. In smaller jails, booking takes roughly an hour while in larger jails, the entire booking process can take up to 12 hours or more.

How much do I need to pay?

The bail bondsman will pay for the bail amount on behalf of the defendant.

We require a bond premium for this service. Typically, a bond premium equals 10% of the bail amount. In exceptional circumstances, we may issue a bond premium of less than 10%.

For example, if the judge sets the bail amount at $15,000, the bond premium will be $1,500.

We also offer no-collateral bonds in most cases, and an easy payment plan as well.
